Racketeering
is the federal crime of conspiring to organize to commit crimes,
particularly as a regular business (“organized crime” or “the Mafia”).
Organized crime is crime carried out systematically by formal criminal
organizations. The Organized Crime Control Act ( U.S. , 1970) defines
organized crime as “The unlawful activities of … a highly organized,
disciplined association…”. Some criminal organizations, such as
terrorist organizations, are politically motivated.

Definition of conspiracy – A
person is guilty of conspiracy with another person or persons to commit
a crime if with the intent of promoting or facilitating its commission
he:
- agrees
with such other person or persons that they or one or more of them will
engage in conduct which constitutes such crime or an attempt or
solicitation to commit such crime; or- agrees to
aid such other person or persons in the planning or commission of such
crime or of an attempt or solicitation to commit such crime

by the application of a defense.Murder is
the unlawful killing of a human being with malice aforethought (the
deliberate intent to kill). Murder is the crime where one or more human
beings causes the death of others, without lawful excuse, and with
intent to kill or with an intent to cause grievous bodily harm, which
is traditionally termed “malice aforethought”.
